We are inviting applications for an outstanding NICU Director to join a leading organization on the West Coast. This facility is a top 10 pediatric hospital with a Level IV Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. The department is in growth mode, with the planned expansion (within the next 18 months) from 26+ beds to 40 beds.

Ability to act as team leader to work effectively with physicians, medical personal, nurses and community agencies to ensure comprehensive service delivery and support for pediatric patients and their families.
Great communication ability; effectively listening and responding to staff, customers, and colleagues in a timely and efficient way.
Position Focus NICU Director
Lead the development and implementation of strategic initiatives for services including patient flow, operating budgets and staffing.
Provide oversight and assessment of Neonatal Intensive Care Services that meets high standards of patient safety, customer service and program growth.
Create, put in to place strategic plan responsive to forecasted trends, patient needs and changes in treatment.
Build and maintain inter-disciplinary relationships, committees and lead special projects that support program development.
Identify and implement care, planning and intervention techniques suitable for the physical, motor and sensory, cognitive features that define the patient population.
Oversee 100 direct reports; position reports to Division Director of Critical Care.

Requirements NICU Director
MSN required; willing to accept candidates with a MBA or MPH with BSN (Candidates currently enrolled in Master’s program will be considered on condition this is completed within 3 years with solid performance)
At least 5 years of leadership experience within healthcare environment.
Must attain national certification in clinical specialty area or leadership within 3 years.
Current BLS for Healthcare Providers, current PEARS / PALS certification will be accepted without BLS.
