Columbia Memorial Hospital, located in the beautiful and historic coastal town of Astoria, Oregon, is looking for an enthusiastic nurse leader to join our team as a Surgical Services Manager. The Surgical Services Manager administers, organizes, integrates, and evaluates the activities of Perioperative Services. Responsible for formulating and administering policies, plans, budgets, and programs for the Department. Monitors effectiveness of surgical services in relation to objectives and costs. Responsible for coordination between surgeons, anesthesia, operating room, and post anesthesia care unit, same day services, and central sterile. Is also responsible for staff training and supervision, performance evaluations with improvement plans as necessary. Possesses the technical skills to act quickly, knowledgeably, and appropriately in any situation that may occur. Maintains knowledge of compliance with regulatory standards.

RN currently licensed with the Oregon State Board of Nursing in good standing. Current BLS, ACLS, CNOR certification or ability to obtain within six (6) months of hire. A thorough knowledge of nursing principles and procedures; knowledge and skills in techniques of good patient care. Knowledge of AORN standards, practices, and recommendations. Must be able to read and write English, as well as speak and understand English.
Education/Experience: Bachelor’s Degree, MSA, MHA and/or MSN preferred. 2-5 years in position related supervisory experience. Minimum Education: Graduate of accredited School of Nursing. Minimum education is a BSN. Supervisory skill required.
