In collaboration with the Vice President of Nursing, the proven nursing leader we seek will be accountable for daily nursing administration activities which will encompass establishing and implementing goals and objectives for our Wayne Campus aimed at enhancing revenue and improving quality of care.
Collaborating with management staff to evaluate and revise evidence based standards of care and performance to ensure delivery of excellence in patient care
Defining, implementing and evaluating standards of nursing practice
Overseeing department personnel, operating and capital budgets
Communicating hospital and departmental policy, philosophy and objectives to employees within the hospital
Working collaboratively with all disciplines and departments to achieve institutional, divisional and unit goals and objectives
Assisting in the strategic planning process, including the development of short and long term goals for our Wayne campus
Collaborating in the formulation of hospital and departmental policies
Leading cost containment and patient satisfaction initiatives for the site
Performing other management related duties as necessary
To qualify, you must have a NJ State RN License, Master’s Degree in Nursing or related field, and 5-7 years of progressively responsible nursing experience. The ability to develop financial and operating plans for a large department will also be expected, as will knowledge of evidence based practices, effectively resolve problems, and the ability to design highly complex systems and programs. Superior leadership, analytical, decision-making, oral/written communication and PC skills are essential.
