This position provides overall direction and leadership for clinical and operational services for assigned departments. Functions as a leader in healthcare and as part of the healthcare team. The Director is responsible for providing effective management development and assuring accountability in the provision of financially responsible, quality patient care that consistently meets/exceeds the expectations of patients, families, physicians, and staff. This position works closely with the medical directors, as well as the nurse managers, coordinators and clinical leads of assigned departments to ensure multi-disciplinary teams/staff provide high quality, accessible, cost effective care and patient focused services. Develops and maintains clinical standards of care and nursing practice. Responsible for all resource budgeting and development within the assigned departments.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
Current licensure as Registered Nurse in Colorado
Education: BSN required, Master’s in Nursing or related field is preferred.
Training and experience: Previous management experience required. Experience at the Director level preferred. Minimum 5 years of recent clinical or direct oversight experience in Critical Care, Trauma or Emergency Nursing required. Must be BCLS certified. ACLS required within 6 months of hire. Professional certification in one specialty area preferred.
