TriStar Centennial offers a comprehensive neuroscience program to diagnose, treat and rehabilitate brain, spine and nervous system conditions. Our multi-disciplinary approach brings together a team of experts. Our highly trained and skilled neurologists and neurosurgeons specialize in a wide range of surgeries, procedures and therapies and neurosciences subspecialties.
The Director of Neuroscience oversees the neuroscience services to include the Sleep Disorder Center, direct patient care Neuroscience Intensive care unit and Orthopedic/Spine Units, neurodiagnostics department, and stroke services as well as programmatic development of orthopedics and Joint Commission disease specific programs for Total Joint and Spine programs. The role ensures quality, timeliness and effectiveness of care delivery for the facility and is responsible for program assessment, planning, organizing, implementation, budgeting, performance improvement, education, program hospital services utilization, community outreach, pre-hospital education, and marketing/communications; provides expert knowledge, leadership and education within the hospital programs; and works to develop, implement and maintain quality improvement processes. The Director of Neuroscience ensures quality in clinical practice with the goal of providing superior quality, competitive value, and outstanding service to patients, families and the community. This position collaborates with all members of the team responsible for and involved in the care of neuroscience and orthopedic patients as well as the corporate offices as necessary.
BSN required; MBA or MSN preferred
Current Tennessee RN license required
Experience with neuroscience patient care nursing experience as an RN with emphasis in critical care; previous neuroscience nursing education experience preferred; excellent knowledge and understanding of neuroscience patient care; demonstrated success in program development preferred (i.e. stroke center, etc.) in a leadership role; facility with stroke data base and Joint Commission standards for stroke; and stroke committee leadership
