Sidra Medical and Research Center, in Doha, Qatar is an ultra-modern, all-digital, academic medical center that has been designed and planned to the very best international standards in health sciences and provides not only world class patient care, but will help build Qatar's medical and scientific expertise and human resources. Sidra opened its Outpatient Clinic on 1st May 2016 with the launch of three clinics and when it opens its inpatient facilities in 2018, with a capacity of 399 beds, it will be the most modern hospital in the Middle East. Its clinical focus is on the specialty care of women and children.
Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) establishes the vision for patient care and service delivery with responsibility for administration, coordination and direction of these within Sidra. The CNO will also work with external partners to influence and set the strategic direction for nursing in Qatar with respect to regulation and practice. The CNO is responsible for setting standards and ensuring their safe delivery through the clinical operational structures. Practice development, education and training, and ensuring compliance with the nursing and midwifery regulatory framework is fundamental. Sidra is pursuing Magnet Accreditation and leadership on this important key milestone.
The ideal candidate will have a track record of outstanding clinical leadership gained at the highest levels within an acute, academic hospital setting of international standing. He/she will demonstrate visible leadership, collaborative working and expertise in driving continuous quality improvement, backed by the ability to translate organisational strategy and vision into operational objectives.
