Take advantage of this unique opportunity to play a key role in delivering world-class patient care at both The Johns Hopkins Hospital and Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center, as you will have a dual reporting relationship to the Functional Unit Director of Adult Emergency Medicine at The Johns Hopkins Hospital and the Senior Vice President of Nursing for the Johns Hopkins Health System, as well as to the CNO of Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center. The successful candidate will lead the development, implementation, and evaluation of nursing strategic plans, objectives, and standards at The Johns Hopkins Hospital and at Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center, while consulting and collaborating with other JHHS Medical Directors, CNOs and Directors of Nursing in achieving enterprise-wide strategic goals and objectives. Additional responsibilities include managing and evaluating systems and processes for clinical operations and initiatives of the Adult Emergency Medicine patient care delivery system to achieve established productivity, quality, safety, and satisfaction performance parameters. Providing leadership and support in the implementation of lean management strategies to support achievement of management objectives may also be required.
Position requirements include:
Doctorate in Nursing or related field
Master's degree from an accredited school of nursing
Advanced administrative skills at a level generally acquired through four to seven years of progressively responsible nursing administration experience
Analytical ability necessary to oversee, direct, and evaluate objectives and operations of nursing programs; develop and administer sound policies, procedures, budgets, and standards; identify and respond to deficiencies; and initiate corrective actions to achieve desired results.
