The Chief Nursing Officer-EvergreenHealth Monroe (EHM), under the direction of the Sr. VP and Chief Administrative Officer-EHM with matrix reporting to the system Sr. VP/Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) at EvergreenHealth, has executive level primary accountability and responsibility for the development of clinical practice for nursing and other clinical services while administering the Hospital's policies, procedures and philosophy of care. Ensures that care delivered by all clinical staff meets regulatory compliance in accordance with national best practices for patient safety and quality initiatives. Works effectively across organizational lines to ensure nursing excellence and maximum coordination of care for delivery of clinical excellence. Facilitates and encourages leadership collaboration between managers and departments to ensure effective and fiscally responsible daily operations and optimal utilization of resources. Participates in the development of, role models, and communicates the organizational purpose, mission, vision and values, and Standards of Excellence.
• Bachelor's degree in nursing • Master's degree in nursing and/or health services, public or business administration • Current WA State RN license • Minimum of five years' experience in health care administration with multi-departmental fiscal management and personnel management responsibilities. • A proven track record of leadership in the hospital environment and attainment of significant positive clinical outcomes as a result of effective management. • Broad-based knowledge of organizational theory, information systems, regulatory requirements, quality improvement, fiscal and human resource management. • Ability to manage detailed reports, statistical data and financial reports. • Must be able to achieve positive results through collaborative efforts involving a wide variety of groups. • Must be able to effectively delegate project work, operational responsibilities and decision-making to direct reports. • Knowledge required of day-to-day workings of diversified medical staff, including credentialing and peer review functions. Work is performed with wide latitude for exercising independent judgment and initiative.
