Emanuel Medical Center is a Level 1 Trauma Center, Regional Burn Center and serves the needs of both adult hospital population as well as Randall Children’s Hospital at Legacy Emanuel.
Responsible for the management and supervision of 11 direct reports to include 4 nurse managers, business coordinator and additional support staff.
Emanuel has 22 Operating Rooms; an average of 60 cases/day. Case mix approximately 60% adult and 40% pediatric.
$210 million dollar replacement and expansion with groundbreaking in July, 2017. Exciting opportunity for a leader with vision for how the OR of the future should look and operate.
Span of control includes OR, PACU, Cath/Angio Lab, Endoscopy, Adult Day Surgery, CS, ICVR and Surgical Pre-Admissions.
Experience and Qualifications:
A minimum of eight years progressive professional and/or managerial experience within health care environment is recommended.
BSN required; MSN, MN or Masters in a related field required
Demonstrated successful results in managing complex surgical services programs.
Experience working in successful partnership with physicians.
Demonstrated ability to manage people in setting goals; give appropriate support; evaluate, direct and hold employees accountable while maintaining high morale and productivity.
Ability to communicate ideas, plans and directions effectively both verbally and in writing. Ability to facilitate and present data in front of large groups.
Thorough understanding of current developments and trends in healthcare management and areas of defined accountability.
