CMC is seeking a dynamic Chief Nursing Officer (CNO). The CNO will provide executive leadership for organization-wide nursing activities directed at improving the safety, quality, effectiveness, and efficiency of patient care delivered throughout the clinical enterprise. The CNO will help foster a positive and mutually supportive relationship between hospital administration, nursing and the medical staff.
This position requires an individual who has a strong track record of leadership along with a passion for providing outstanding care and a desire to partner with others to improve overall quality, safety and performance. The CNO will be a visible, accessible leader and one who can set a vision, inspire followership and serve as a role model of professionalism and dedication to the highest levels of patient care. The ideal candidate must have experience engaging a team and be comfortable working within a system environment. In addition to strong nursing credentials and experience, preference will be given to candidates with additional credentials in business, finance, health service management, or quality management.
As a member of the Hospital's senior management team, the CNO will participate in functional decision-making processes necessary to the successful attainment of the hospital's mission in addition to maintaining an awareness of changes in healthcare clinical matters that could have an impact on the success of the hospital.
The CNO will oversee multiple departments within the hospital.
This position reports directly to the hospital Chief Executive Officer.
Must possess a Master's degree in nursing
Must be a registered nurse (RN) with a current licensure
Must possess detailed knowledge of hospital nursing operations
5+ years of demonstrated successful leadership in an acute-care hospital environment (For-profit experience preferred)
Must be proficient in written and verbal communication skills
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with hospital staff, physicians, patients, and patient's families
Ability to maintain confidential information concerning personal, financial, or medical matters
