An exceptional, non-profit, community hospital is seeking a Director for the Ortho / Neuro and Adult Surgical Units. This is your opportunity to lead a facility with a Certified Total Joint Replacement Program. This is also certified as a Primary Stroke Center by The Joint Commission. You will have direct oversight of the Ortho/ Neuro Unit and the Adult Surgical Unit with a new building underway for opening in the fall of 2019 to include all new ORs and both Unit.
This Nurse Director works alongside Hospital Administration, Division Directors and Others; providing direction and management of department operations and staff activities.
All duties performed are consistent with hospital standards, policies and procedures and support the hospital’s mission and philosophy.
Orthopedic/ Neuroscience Trauma Unit, 32 beds, all private rooms - Primary types of surgeries performed are Primary and Revision Hip and Knee Arthroplasty; Discectomies; Laminectomies; Hip ORIFs; various trauma, etc.
Adult Surgical Unit, This 20-bed unit, all private rooms, cares for a variety of types of surgical patients - Small Bowel Obstructions; Thoracotomies; Prostatectomies; Mastectomies; Lap Choles; various trauma
Budget = 13.7M in revenue and 6.7M in expense.
Volumes = Ortho - 9,156 patient days, Adult Surgery – 6,177 patient days
This position reports to the CNO/VP

At least three years’ current RN experience in Ortho / Neuro / Surgical units
Previous experience in Nursing Leadership as a Manager or as a Charge RN desirable; 3 years as Nurse Manager preferred.
