The Director, Nursing Diversity Initiatives will be responsible for:
Directing and coordinating the daily operations of a workforce diversity program.
Identifying program participants in collaboration with department managers and directors.
Developing and recommending policies and procedures to support effective and efficient operations of the program. Working independently to implement such policies and procedures and evaluate their results.
Determining, developing and evaluating budgets, administrative strategies and (information) systems in support of the program.
Pursuing and securing grants and other sources of philanthropy to sustain current and future funding for the program.
Engaging and collaborating with BCH nursing scientists and other colleagues to demonstrate and publish empirical outcomes associated with the workforce diversity program.
Developing and maintaining ongoing collaborative relationships and linkages with all internal and external partners.
Maintaining professional liaison with area schools, colleges and universities.
Complying with regulatory compliance with standards, laws and requirements of requisite agencies with appropriate systems/processes.
Leading individuals and work groups to continuously improve performance by creating an environment that ensures application of quality principles and techniques to achieve desired outcomes.
Creating an environment, which fosters excellence, sensitivity and leadership.
Providing leadership for the development of and/or participation in studies, research, publications and public presentations.
To qualify for this position you must have…
MS/MSN. PhD or DNP preferred
5 years’ experience in diversity management, experience with grant management.
10 or more years’ experience as well as prior experience leading academic or practice nursing diversity and mentoring initiatives, successful grant funding leadership, and track record of research and scholarships preferred.
