AHN is seeking a highly professional, experienced and contemporary nursing peri-operative expert to join the AHN executive leadership team and assume responsibility as Vice President, Perioperative Services across all AHN entities. The VP will report to and work closely with the AHN System CNE and serve as a member of the CNE Leadership team in a key leadership role. With a major focus on executing the network-wide peri-operative excellence strategy, the Vice President will create, execute, and refine a framework for excellence in peri-operative professional nursing practice that is evidence-based, ensures competencies, and includes best practices. Responsibilities include the centralization, standardization, and leadership of all perioperative and procedural based clinical departments within the AHN enterprise. Components include anesthetizing and recovery locations, procedural units, operative suites, Magnet activities, patient education, nursing specific peri-operative quality results, and nursing specific patient experience activities.
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing required, Masters in Healthcare, Business or Nursing required, DNP or other Doctoral Degree highly desirable.
Licensure within three months of employment as a Registered Nurse in the State of Pennsylvania.
Minimum of five (5) years’ senior level perioperative leadership experience required. Previous experience managing perioperative programs in an academic center, health care network or multi-system healthcare organization required.
Able to navigate within a complex environment with multiple projects and priorities.
