Trinity Health System is part of Catholic Health Initiatives (CHI), and comprises the most complete health care option in eastern Ohio. The hospital system includes Trinity East and Trinity West which has a combined capacity of over 471 beds and employs more than 1800 people. Trinity Health offers a full array of Programs & Services to its patients, including, but not limited to Med/Surg Units, Same Day Services, Skilled Nursing, Specialty Units, Outpatient Services, Emergency Services, Endoscopy, Lab, Nutritional Services, Renal Dialysis, Pharmacy, Sleep Center, Social Services, the Tony Teramana Cancer Center, Trinity Complete Breast Care, Trinity Health Systems Imaging Services, the Trinity Heart Center, Trinity Orthopedic & Spine Institute, and Women’s Health.
The Chief Nursing Officer will serve as a member of the executive leadership team of Trinity Health in Steubenville and will participate on the nursing council at the system level of CHI, building and supporting effective collegial relationships with internal and external stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have experience in developing strong partnerships and communicating effectively with all organizational stakeholders. This individual should also have the ability to act as a key clinical leader within the organization and collaborate well with the executive leadership team. The CNO should be seen as approachable and engaging while still maintaining focus on outcomes and efficiency. Previous CNO experience is NOT required. Experience at the Director level of nursing or higher is required. Qualified candidates must possess a Bachelor’s degree in nursing plus a graduate degree in nursing, business administration, healthcare or related field.
