Service Director – Emergency Department
In this role, you will plan, organize, direct, evaluate, and coordinate inpatient nursing services and/or integrated outpatient/inpatient nursing services across the continuum of care within the Emergency Department of a single medical center. You will work with the Kaiser Foundation Health Plan/Hospital and the medical group staff in developing strategic plans, providing quality care and cost effective services which are aligned with federal, state, and local regulations.
At least eight years of nursing experience in patient care
At least five years of management experience
A BSN or bachelor’s degree in a health care related field; a master’s degree is preferred
A graduate of an accredited school of nursing
A current California RN license
Demonstrated strong interpersonal communication skills
Demonstrated knowledge of the Nurse Practice Act, The Joint Commission, and other local, state, and federal regulations
The ability to work in a Labor/Management Partnership environment
