Quincy College Founded in 1958, Quincy College is a two-year, municipally affiliated college serving approximately 4,000 students at campuses located in Quincy and Plymouth, Massachusetts. Quincy College offers 34 associate degree programs and 19 certificate programs in a variety of disciplines, including those within Professional Programs, Liberal Arts, Natural & Health Sciences and Nursing. The college is accredited by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges and is licensed by the Board of Higher Education of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts to grant the degrees of Associate in Arts and Associate in Science. The college draws a diversity of students from the greater Boston area, the Plymouth area, southeastern Massachusetts, as well as 100 countries around the world. Quincy College Associate Degree in Nursing Program and Practical Nurse Certificate programs are accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) and approved by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Board of Registration in Nursing.
Dean of the Academic Division of Nursing Under the direction of the Sr. Vice President of Academic Affairs, the Dean of Nursing is responsible for the management of the College’s Nursing programs. Key responsibilities include evaluation and oversight of faculty, development and assessment of program curricula and assessment of student learning initiatives. Ensuring the maintenance of high academic and ethical standards will be a critical aspect of the role. including appropriate and timely resolution of student concerns, program planning, and ensuring ongoing compliance with programmatic regulatory, licensing, and accreditation requirements. Occasional travel between the Quincy and Plymouth campuses is required.
Licensed to practice or eligible as a Registered Nurse in MA.
Master’s Degree in Nursing or a Doctorate in Nursing.
A minimum of three years’ experience as a nurse educator teaching at the college level.
A minimum of five years full-time nursing experience within the last eight years.
Progressively responsible administrative experience and management skills, preferably in higher education institutional administration.
Knowledge of regulatory requirements for nursing programs.
