Indentifies clinical quality improvement opportunities from multiple data sources and coordinates improvement and continued quality performance in those areas.
Essential Functions and Job Duties
Oversees assessment of compliance with all quality standards and outcomes as determined by governmental and regulatory agencies as well as other evidence based standards. Oversee scoring and submission of quality data. Oversees clinical incident reporting, including review of incident, and completion of Root Cause Analysis (RCA's) needing to be done. Leads improvement opportunities associated with the incidents.
Works with decision support staff, CIO and VP of Quality Systems, and CMO to identify key metrics that should be monitored on a continuous basis. Analyzes metrics and identifies improvement opportunities based on those metrics. Leads completion of quality improvement opportunities indicated by the data.
Develop, implement and coordinate performance improvement programs and efforts with a particular focus on clinical processes.
Clinical expertise that can be applied to multiple areas of care delivery.
Data interpretation and critical evaluation of evidence.
Leadership experience in a clinical area or quality.
Education and/or Other Requirements
A qualified candidate must possess a Bachelor’s degree in nursing and Master’s or Doctoral degree from an accredited college or university with a concentration on Quality Systems Management, Nursing or related degree.
Five (5) years' nursing experience with quality outcome analysis either in quality role or as a leader in practice. Training and supervisory experience required.
