The Nurse Manager - Emergency Services will be responsible for:
24/7 responsibilities planning, organizing and overseeing daily clinical and administrative operations of emergency services.
Assisting with preparing staff schedules and assignments.
Requesting and allocating resources and facilitating coordination of care/services to meet patient care and operations requirements.
Developing, recommending and implementing internal standards, policies and procedures to improve quality and cost-effectiveness of patient care.
Selecting, supervising and evaluating nursing and clinical support staff.
Assisting in developing and providing staff education/development programs.
Leading and participating in hospital, departmental and multidisciplinary programs, committees and special projects.
To qualify, you must have:
Master's degree required, either Bachelor's or Master's degree must be in Nursing.
The analytic skills to resolve highly complex problems requiring the application of clinical principles, theories and concepts, and in-depth, cross-functional experience-based knowledge.
Proficient computer skills, research skills and well-developed writing skills.
3 – 5 years Nurse Management experience in a hospital setting.
Emergency Department clinical experience required; pediatrics preferred.
