The Executive Director will support and facilitate an inter-professional team and patient centered approach to the delivery of care. This includes creating a nursing environment in which collaboration is valued and excellence in clinical care, education, and research is promoted and achieved.
In addition to the inpatient oversight of the nursing units for the York Street and SRC campuses, having oversight of the nursing staff and managers in the ambulatory spaces given their close alignment with the inpatient beds and staff will become an important part of the work in this position. The Diabetic Center and Winchester Pulmonary clinics along with the Infectious Disease clinics work within the spaces of the hospital and have symbiotic relationships with the inpatient clinical areas. A closer alignment of nursing staff to achieve better continuity of care and improve the patient and families’ experience at YNHH will be a vital part of this work.
