TheArc Rockland provides supports and services to more than 1,200 children and adults with intellectual and other developmental disabilities. They are the first non-profit of its kind in Rockland County, beginning in 1954. The role of CAO will also expand to include future business plans and community services and outreach.
The CAO will report to the CEO and will provide administrative services supporting all ancillary functions of The Arc Rockland. The CAO will serve as the driving force to further the mission and vision of The Arc Rockland, and will serve as its Chief Compliance Officer. Key to the role is establishing relationships with functional leaders throughout the agency, to increase satisfaction and efficiencies. The CAO will work alongside the Chief Financial Officer, Chief Clinical Officer, Chief Human Resources Officer, and Chief Program Officer.
Specific duties will include:
Define processes, tools and metrics to ensure a smooth day-to-day operational approach across the organization.
Provides project management of the Strategic Planning process for the agency.
Planning, implementation and support of all technology required for The Arc Rockland to achieve its Define the appropriate IT infrastructure and applications needed across the agency to increase productivity. Develop, deploy and maintain the systems, ensuring corporate compliance on all fronts and allowing continual improvement.
Provides effective executive oversight of facilities / real estate and support services, including emergency management.
Oversight of Vendor Services which ensures systems and vendors are in place for transportation and other programs with timely, reliable, safe, on-budget, and fully compliant delivery of services. Responsible for negotiating, executing, and managing major service contracts within operational domains.
Oversight of the Arc Enterprises which includes strategic planning, marketing, financial oversight, staffing, and P & L for the local business enterprises.
Provides oversight for Development, as well as special events for fundraising.
Marketing of The Arc Rockland internally, externally and to regulatory agencies. This will include oversight of grant writing, newspaper and other digital and print media, and communication with other advisory bodies such as OPWDD, etc.
Will supervise the continuous QI function throughout the organization, including responsibility for the CQL Accreditation renewal process, as well as oversee Incident Management. Ensures compliance with all regulatory requirements.
Serves as the Chief Compliance Officer.
