Join Harborview Medical Center for an outstanding leadership opportunity as Nurse Manager, Operating Rooms. Harborview (HMC) is the level 1 adult and pediatric trauma center and regional burn center serving Washington, Alaska, Montana and Idaho. HMC is owned by King County, governed by a county-appointed board of trustees and managed by the University of Washington (UW). Harborview serves as one of the training sites for the UW School of Medicine and is a public/safety-net hospital for our diverse community. We provide high quality, state-of-the art advanced health care for people from all walks of life. The Nurse Manager has accountability and responsibility for managing the provision of safe, efficient and quality patient centered care; directing and coordinating all activities of the patient care unit including plans, implements, and evaluates unit programs to meet specific patient care needs; selects and supervises unit staff, plans and manages the unit budget; and provides leadership to promote professional practice. The Nurse Manager represents the unit staff and provides leadership in the Division of Nursing and the Medical Center as a whole through participation in the decision-making process, support, and development of policies and programs.
Registered nurse license in the State of Washington.
Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.
Several years professional OR nursing experience to include at least one year in managerial role.
