Associate Vice President Associate Chief Nurse (Associate VP) VCU Health System
VCU Health System's Nursing Administration is seeking a full time Associate Vice President Associate Chief Nurse (Associate VP) for inpatient Critical Care, Transplant, and Medical and Surgical Services. In collaboration with the Chief Nursing Officer, this position will focus specifically in the following areas:
Optimizes key inpatient services areas to ensure standardization of practice – necessary to ensure a high reliability work environment.
Leverages available resources to work strategically with all professional service departments across the Health System to achieve top performance in all key metrics.
Positions VCU Health Nursing to effectively, respond from a system's perspective to Population Health Management and the shift from "volume" to "value" by optimizing our care delivery system across the continuum of care.
Enhances our Care Delivery Model across the continuum to achieve the tenets outlined in the Vision by Design Strategic Plan.
Budgeting, Hiring, Coaching, Mentoring, and Managing Directly supervises assigned Department Directors and other assigned staff.
Degree type and level of education are based on area of assignment (e.g. Doctor of Medicine, Juris Doctor, etc.)
Minimum of an equivalent to a Master’s Degree in a related field such as Nursing, Healthcare Administration, Public Health, Finance/Accounting, etc.
Required license, certification and/or registration based on area of assignment (e.g. Medical Doctor, Attorney, Certified Public Accountant, Registered Nurse, etc.)
Minimum of ten (10) years of progressively more responsible healthcare supervisory/management work experience
Twelve years of progressively more responsible healthcare supervisory/management work experience
