The ACNO provides visionary leadership in all aspects of nursing.
Utilize a data-based approach and facilitate innovation and creativity in the development of new initiatives to support ongoing performance improvement and organizational change
Actively mentor and coach direct reports in the execution of Hospital and departmental policies, objectives and operating procedures and all aspects of leadership
Partner with the Associate Medical Directors and the Associate Chief Operation Officers in programmatic development, facility planning, problem-solving, quality and cost improvement initiatives and implementation of patient and family-centered care
Actively participate in strategic planning, policy formulation, problem solving and management of Nursing Services, as well as the Ambulatory units/areas, as assigned.
Represent Ambulatory administration to members of the community in the promotion of good public relations for the Ambulatory Care Units
Bachelor’s degree in Nursing
Master’s degree in Nursing, Hospital Administration, Business, Public Health or related healthcare field
At least five years of clinical experience in nursing with a demonstrated progression in supervisory and administrative roles
Ambulatory care experience in a high matrix reporting structure
Experience in program planning, implementation, and evaluation
Doctoral degree in Nursing or health-related field, certification in Nursing Administration, and experience with Magnet standards preferred
Current State of Michigan Board of Nursing licensure(upon hire)
