The Director of Clinical Practice Support is the strategic leader providing oversight for education, staff development and evidenced based clinical practice that support Legacy’s patient care enterprise, designed in alignment with the organizational and nursing vision, mission, and values.
Scope of responsibility includes but is not limited to operational management, resource allocation, performance improvement, Lean problem solving, evidenced based practice, and nursing research. This position interfaces with all nursing, clinical, and specific functional leaders, key medical staff leaders, human resource functions of recruitment, organizational development, and other key Legacy stakeholders.
Experience and Qualifications:
An academic degree in nursing and Master’s degree is required for this position. A doctoral degree is preferred.
A minimum of 5 years progressive professional and/or managerial experience within health care system. Leadership experience with Nurse Residency programs, academic nursing education, nursing research, and national nursing recognition programs (Magnet, etc.) is helpful.
Exceptional interpersonal communication, collaboration and conflict management skills. Knowledge and ability to apply adult learning principles.
Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Experience with Lean Management systems is an asset.
Current Oregon and Washington RN licensure. Specialty certification is appropriate.
