Service Unit Department Manager RN – OB/GYN
In this role, you will manage the OB/GYN department. You will ensure that the staff provides high quality, accessible, cost effective care, and patient focused services to members across the continuum, which comply with local, state, and federal requirements. In addition, you will develop and maintain clinical practice standards, budgets, and staff development.
At least five years of nursing experience in a management/leadership role
At least five years of supervisory experience
Three years of experience in an outpatient care setting preferred
A bachelor’s degree in nursing or a health related field, or four years of experience in a directly related field with a high school diploma or GED; a master’s degree is preferred
A graduate of an accredited school of nursing
A current California RN license
PALS, PEARS, and/or ACLS certifications may be required for positions in specific departments
Clinical specialization in OB/GYN preferred
Knowledge of the Nurse Practice Act, The Joint Commission, and other local, state, and federal regulations
Demonstrated strong interpersonal communication skills
The ability to work in a Labor/Management Partnership environment
