Tampa General Hospital’s Medical-Surgical/Telemetry Units include 604 beds and feature an admit/discharge unit, complex medicine, joint replacement, orthopedics, medical observation unit, neuroscience, oncology, primary care, specialty surgery, nursing rehab unit, the Acute Care for the Elderly Unit (ACE), adult stepdown unit, cardiac observation, cardiac telemetry, CV Center, and cardiovascular telemetry. These units value the art and science of nursing and offer a high level of interaction with patients and families.
The Nurse Manager, Cardiovascular Telemetry will be responsible for providing clinical and administrative support to staff who provide direct and indirect care to patients in the unit. The unit consists of 40 bed and 70 FTEs, has a population of post cardiac surgical patients and an average length of stay of 7 days. Additional responsibilities will include:
Programmatic, operational and financial management of the unit/program on a 24-hour basis
Interview, hire and assign work to and evaluate work performance of employees supervised
Perform job duties in accordance with the mission, vision, and values of Tampa General Hospital
Requirements include a Bachelor’s of Nursing degree, FL RN license and 2-3 years of management experience. Cardiac Telemetry experience, EPIC experience, and/or national certification preferred.
