The Tuolumne- Me-Wuk Indian Health Center has retained the services of the Merraine Group in their search for an innovative CAO. The C-Level strategic leader will play an integral part of driving this organization forwards and taking their patient services to the next level.
The CAO will be a healthcare leader that will supervise 70+ FTEs of a medical center with 30,000 annual visits.
We are looking for an executive healthcare leader that adds verve and passion to this role. This CAO will play a leading role in empowering and energizing medical teams with a renewed sense of positivity and mission.
Position Focus CAO
Provide quality healthcare services for the Tuolumne community (including other Native Americans and members of the surrounding communities).
Collaborate with the Chief Medical Officer (CMO) and Chief Financial Officer (CFO) as part of the executive management team to develop and implement initiatives, policies, and procedures.
Develop a network of professional connections with local community leaders, regulatory agencies and other influencers within the communities served.
The CAO will work alongside the CMO and CFO to drive strategic planning. They will pinpoint the growth of existing service lines and the development of new areas of revenue growth.
Position reports to the Board of Directors.

Chief Administrative Officer Requirements
MBA, MPA, JD or a similar Master’s degree is required.
This CAO will have a background demonstrating progressive leadership and growth.
The candidate will possess strong communication skills and have the ability to relate to the American Native Community.
This CAO will have a personal and professional affinity with the Native American Culture and its history.
