The Director will oversee operations and tactical aspects, as well as has responsibility and accountability for Home Health Operations. Develops, plans and implement Home Health programs as they relate to patient care services and departments. Supervises assigned Home Health Team members and the daily operations of Home Health (nursing, rehab, palliative care, etc.) departments. Participates in long range strategic planning for department and agency. Collaboratively manages, with clinical leaders, the areas of safety, compliance, infection control, intake, case management, Joint Commission, Public Health, customer satisfaction and quality management of Home Health division. Fosters a cooperative relationship within Memorial Health System affiliates, community resources, providers. Partners with appropriate external business partners to maintain solid working relationships, foster effective communication, and build trust between organizations for referral growth. Upholds and manages staff productivity and pay practices. Collaboratively manages department budget and the Home Health department in accordance with MHS standards and guidelines.
Requirements for this position include:
Master’s degree in healthcare, business, or related field, required or obtained within 2 years of employment or 10 years of home health experience in lieu of Master’s degree.
Current license to practice professional nursing or therapy in Illinois required.
Lean Six Sigma Greenbelt designation within 6 months of employment, required.
Five (5) years relevant experience in health care management, required. Five (5) years experience in the home health setting required. Five (5) years experience in Home Health Leadership strongly preferred.
Five (5) years of supervisory or demonstrated leadership experience, required.
Recent knowledge of regulations related to home health services and experience in managing compliance activities for Home Health clinical operations, required.
Experience with case management functions, coding and billing functions, preferred.
Experience with Joint Commission and Public Health surveys and standards, preferred.
Demonstrates skills in operations of service line and leading teams, including other leaders. Demonstrates ability to move strategic objectives into operational tactics.
Demonstrates excellent written and verbal communication skills, with ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization, required.
Demonstrates problem-solving and decision-making ability to develop innovative approaches to a changing home health care environment, required.
Demonstrates strong process management skills and ability to work collaboratively with multiple constituencies, required.
