Assistant/Assoc VP, Nursing/Patient Care Svcs, Chief Nursing Officer, Vice President, Nursing/Patient Care Services
On behalf of our client, Cone Health, we are conducting an executive search for an Associate Chief Nurse Executive (ACNE). The ACNE is responsible for assisting the EVP Acute Care Services and Chief Nurse Executive (EVP ACS/CNE) with maintaining and enhancing a clinical practice environment that is patient-centered, with unsurpassed clinical quality and patient safety across the continuum of care.
The ACNE ensures value-driven health care services through LEAN leadership and business systems.
Provides significant contributions to education and research related to innovation and patient care, nursing interventions, and practice environment.
Assists the EVP ACS/CNE with developing leadership skills of all nursing leaders through mentoring, role modeling and coaching on employee engagement, fiscal responsibility, service excellence and patient experience.
Provides guidance on the development of a diverse workforce plan, resource utilization and stewardship, recruitment, retention, staff competencies, professional practice, nursing education and the working conditions of clinical staff.
Comprehensive (10 years) progressive nursing leadership experience in a complex health organization or academic health care environment
A proven track record of leading initiatives to improve quality of care, assuring patient safety, and maintain compliance with accreditation standards in a regulatory environment with various state and federal agencies and TJC
Demonstrated job-related experience with and/or commitment to diversity
Proven financial and operational track record demonstrating experience with budget strategy, identifying priorities and negotiating resources
Experience leading organizational change and ability to influence people to achieve common goals without having direct reporting relationships
Demonstrated experience utilizing analytic skills, critical and systems thinking skills and decision making in a complex administrative environment
Experience modeling service excellence principles/standards
Outstanding written, verbal and presentation skills to serve as a liaison and to collaborate with physicians, staff, patients and other customers
Must be proficient in computer and software applications
Must be certified in executive nursing practice
Required: MSN and a DNP or PhD required, CNO experience, certification in nurse executive leadership and a track record of progressive leadership
Preferred: MBA/MHA, LEAN training and magnet experience
