Cejka Executive Search has been engaged by Advocate Health Care to recruit a senior surgical services executive to serve as Executive Director, Surgical Services over their largest facility, Advocate Christ Medical Center (Advocate Christ) in Oak Lawn, Illinois, a southern suburb of Chicago.

The Executive Director of Surgical Services will be responsible for the strategic, financial, and operational leadership and performance of Advocate Christ’s Surgical Services enterprise. In partnership with the Chief, Surgical Services, the Executive Director will lead strategic and business initiatives to achieve optimal performance, physician and patient satisfaction, quality and safety measures and operational efficiency to achieve a best-in-class Surgical Services program. Partnering with community providers and employed physicians, the Executive Director will cultivate a collaborative, multidisciplinary care model to promote a center of excellence for Surgical Services.
Ideal candidates will have progressive management experience with responsibility for operational, financial and clinical services of a high volume Surgical Services department. Expertise in physician engagement; staff development; process improvement relating to quality, safety and patient care; and financial management are required. A bachelor’s degree is required, and a master’s degree is highly preferred.
