DIRECTOR OF NURSING SERVICES-TELEMETRY Wayne UNC Health Care Goldsboro, North Carolina
Under the direction of the Senior VP, Patient Services, CNO, the proactive professional we select for this important role will manage daily departmental operations on a continual, 24/7 basis, including Financial and Human Resources. Planning and leading the department to meet or exceed the needs of the patient population and the organization, this individual will proactively identify opportunities to improve and develop proposed solutions. Additional responsibilities include:
Formulating effective plans based on departmental and hospital needs.
Establishing a budget and practicing financial management in alignment with organization objectives.
Managing personnel in accordance with hospital policy and regulations.
Ensuring compliance with departmental and hospital policies and procedures, as well as regulatory guidelines defined by the Joint Commission, DFS, and OSHA.
Supporting and modeling the CSI program.
Leading and participating on hospital committees and teams as requested.
Five or more years of experience as an RN.
Current licensure as a registered nurse in the state of North Carolina
Bachelor's degree from a recognized college or university
Ability to communicate effectively with all constituents using appropriate diplomacy and tact
Ability to effectively manage and/or supervise others
Ability to thrive independently under pressure and make timely/appropriate decisions
The strong leadership skills and ability to create a climate in which others are motivated and inspired to do their best work
The delegation skills required to effectively assign responsibility, tasks, and decisions; set objectives; and monitor processes and results.
Ability to focus on multiple activities concurrently in order to achieve goals
Two or more years of experience as an RN in a leadership capacity
Experience as a manager or director of nursing
