The Nurse Manager, Behavorial Health manages the Behavioral Health Unit and Partial Hospitalization Program to function as a synergistic, harmonious and productive entities integrated and synchronized with other hospital functions to fulfill its own goals and contribute to the overall purposes and objectives of Newport Hospital. Management oversight of Newport Hospital Psychiatric Partial Hospitalization Program.
Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing required; Master’s Degree in psychiatric and mental health nursing or its equivalent required.
Certification in Nursing Administration and/or appropriate specialty required within 18 months of hire.
Three to five years Clinical Nursing experience in Psychiatric Nursing required; two to three years in management leadership role preferred.
Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Rhode Island or in the nurse’s primary state of legal residency if that state is a member of the Nurse Licensure Compact. Current CPR certification.
