As the Unit Director for the Acute Medicine Unit at Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center, you will be play a lead role in the overall operations of the nursing unit. You will oversee fiscal and human resources, clinical performance, materials management, and communications.
Qualifications We're seeking a proven leader with current California RN licensure and: BSN with a related Masters or MSN 3-5 years of progressive leadership experience Experience in Acute Medicine/Telemetry preferred National Certification in specialty a plus Strong teaching and mentoring skills to ensure ongoing compliance with licensing and accreditation requirements Ability to develop and implement new programs through continuing education, staff meetings, training programs, standing committees and research Passion for helping clinical staff handle challenging patient/family or clinical situations to achieve the highest level of patient satisfaction Knowledge of management principles and practices, including fiscal management Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with staff, patients, and families Strong communication, organization, prioritizing and critical thinking skills Experience working in an Academic Medical Center and Magnet organization preferred
