Performs the primary functions as a professional nurse leader in assessing, planning, directing, and evaluating perioperative services day-to-day operations on a 24-hours basis to assure the Hospital and Department mission and vision are met. Will manage the Operating Room, PACU, Sterile Processing, Outpatient Perioperative/Infusion Center Services, and Invasive Procedures performed outside the Operating Room within department operating budget and capital budget criteria. Assures department compliance with standards of nursing practice and hospital and department policies and procedures.
Promotes positive guest relations and teamwork among the medical staff, department and support personnel and other departments. Assures department operations meet all state, federal, licensing and certification and accreditation standards. Prepares Hospital department budget in accordance with Hospital Accounting policies.
Requires Bachelors Degree, prefer Masers Degree in Nursing, Management or equivalent experience.
Requires minimum 5 years recent Operating Room clinical experience, including at least 5 years Operating Room management experience.
Requires current State of California Registered Nurse licensure, Current National Certification, Current American Heart Association BCLS, ACLS preferred.
