Assumes responsibility for the administration of the Belanger School of Nursing. This includes supervision of the curriculum, recruitment, admission, financial aid, faculty and staff, as well as budgeting, hiring and future planning for the School. The Director chairs the Faculty Organization and the Advisory Committee of the school. Serves as the liaison to Ellis Medicine hospital and other units. The director continuously scans the professional field and program standards to improve the programs’ curriculum, based on these findings develop workgroups to determine scale and needs based on mission, vision and values of Ellis Medicine and BSON
Requires a New York State Registered Professional Nurse license
Master's degree in nursing,
Doctoral degree in nursing or a related field is preferred and will need to be completed within three (3) years from hire.
Requires five (5) years of experience in nursing education and two (2) years in supervision and/or administration in a school of nursing.
