Witt/Kieffer has been retained to assist in the search for a Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) for Longmont United Hospital (LUH), in Longmont, CO. This is a unique opportunity to be part of a new leadership team focused on positioning the hospital for growth. We seek a CNO who can provide leadership which will result in stronger nursing performance, increased patient care experience, exceptional teamwork, as well as growth of key services and market share.
With 201 beds and over $155 million in operating revenues, Longmont United Hospital is a Planetree designated hospital with an innovative, whole-patient focus on the powerful connection between the body, the mind, and the spirit. LUH is located approximately 35 miles north of Denver. They are a member of Centura Health, the region's largest health care provider with 17 hospitals and an extensive network of providers across Colorado and western Kansas and $3.8 billion annual net revenue.
The CNO will have day-to-day nursing responsibility of LUH and will serve as a key strategic partner to the CEO, physician leaders, and other senior executives. The CNO will need to be a skilled relationship builder, particularly in creating effective physician and nursing partnerships. She/he must be able to lead others in initiatives aimed at improving quality and engagement. The CNO needs to inspire followership and serve as a role model of professionalism and dedication to the highest levels of patient care.
