This is a unique opportunity to join the executive leadership team of a prestigious $900M, seven hospital healthcare system, with an extensive integrated delivery care network. Reporting directly to the System President and CEO Dr. Imran Andrabi, the CNO will be charged with creating a cohesive nursing vision and strategy and overseeing the practice of nursing across the system.
ThedaCare is the third largest health care System in the state of Wisconsin and the largest employer in Northeast Wisconsin with approximately 6,800 employees. ThedaCare is a founding member of the Wisconsin Collaborative for Healthcare Quality (WCHQ), and enjoys a national reputation for being one of the early adopters and leaders in the hospital industry for the use of the LEAN management system. ThedaCare has been on the LEAN journey for nearly 15 years, delivering significant value and improvements in quality and service to the health system and its patients.
The System CNO for ThedaCare will be an engaging transformative leader who is accountable for the alignment of nursing care across the system’s clinical settings. She/he will identify and foster the adoption of evidence based clinical guidelines to reduce variation in practice. The CNO will proactively identify progressive, creative, viable approaches to enhance overall quality and patient satisfaction fostering an accountable, transparent environment that is supportive of staff and fosters their professional development. She/he will work in a dyad relationship with the ThedaCare Chief Clinical Officer (CCO) sharing responsibility for meeting patient needs and for the planning, organizing, and directing of patient care in all clinical aspects of the integrated system. The clinical dyad will be critical in helping ThedaCare achieve objectives in safety, quality, employee engagement, financial stewardship, and customer loyalty. Under the collaborative direction of the ThedaCare CEO and operational leaders, the clinical dyad will provide strategic direction, executive and clinical leadership, system-wide planning, organizing, and resource management for all aspects of nursing practice across ThedaCare.
