Magnet Program Director – Professional Practice & Innovation
Upstate Medical University is looking for a Magnet Program Director to join their dynamic team of expert professionals.
The Magnet Program Director serves as the overall project leader for the planning, coordination, implementation, evaluation, and ongoing compliance with the American Nurse Credentialing Center's (ANCC) Magnet Recognition Program. Collaborates with the Advanced Practice Services department. Assures appropriate analysis and development of action plans towards achieving and sustaining an environment of nursing excellence. Serves as a liaison between clinical nurse, nursing leadership, interprofessional colleagues, and the community. Assists with nursing and interprofessional education and communication regarding comprehensive nursing excellence program. Contributes to strategic initiatives through timely data management, analysis, and graph display for driving actionable nursing and organizational outcomes.

NYS licensed/registered RN (or eligible), Masters degree in Nursing, and a minimum of three years post-licensure acute care experience required. Prior experience with Magnet designation process required. Excellent written/oral communication, leadership, organizational, interpersonal, and analytical skills required. American Nurse Credentialing Center (ANCC) approved certification in area of specialty required. CPR-BLS certification required by time of appointment. Previous supervisory/leadership experience preferred.
