Tampa General Hospital (TGH) is a private not-for-profit hospital and one of the most comprehensive medical facilities in West Central Florida serving a dozen counties with a population in excess of 4 million. The ICUs include Trauma, Neuroscience, Surgical, Medical, Vascular Cardiothoracic, Coronary Care, Burn, Pediatrics, and Neonatal Units. TGH has 143 intensive care unit beds. TGH is a level one Trauma Center, and a certified Regional Burn Center that excels in the care of critically ill patients.
Provides clinical and administrative support to staff providing direct/indirect care to patients on a specific unit/units. Responsible on a 24-hour basis for the programmatic, operational and financial management of the unit/program. Interviews, hires, assigns work to and evaluates work performance of employees supervised. Responsible for performing job duties in accordance with mission, vision and values of Tampa General Hospital.
Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse. Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing (BSN) required, MSN preferred; Minimum of 5 years Critical Care experience required; Management experience highly preferred. Leadership or specialty certification is preferred and can be achieved during first year of employment.
