Pfiedler Education, a wholly owned for-profit subsidiary of AORN, Inc. (Association of periOperative Registered Nurses) is seeking a President to provide strategic, inspirational leadership and direction to the team while contributing to a positive, innovative organizational culture. You’ll get to work with AORN management to establish long-range goals, strategies, operating plans, annual budgets and policies and be ultimately responsible for Pfiedler’s operation, growth and profitability. You’ll also develop and maintain productive relationships with Pfiedler’s Board of Directors.
Pfiedler is based out of Denver, CO (we reside on the 1st floor of AORN's building). This is a full-time, position with up to 20% travel to support Pfiedler and AORN initiatives. This role reports to AORN’s Executive Director & CEO.
Develop and implement a strategic plan with effective growth strategies, to include the cultivation of new or expanded markets and partnerships
Ensure that sound plans of organization are maintained for Pfiedler and that major additions, eliminations, or alterations in the strategic plan are properly controlled; maintain fiscal prudence in meeting strategic goals
Direct the development of an annual budget and financial goals to ensure responsible financial management; evaluate fiscal performance and recommend changes to meet performance objectives as needed
Oversee the direction and coordination of all approved programs, projects and major activities of staff; report outcomes to AORN’s executive management; prepare interim and annual reports
Demonstrate strong business acumen and an innovative, positive approach to problem-solving
Develop and maintains positive, productive relationships with the health care community to further the best interests of Pfiedler and AORN
Cultivate a transparent, collaborative relationship with AORN management and staff; utilize relationships and resources to create efficiencies with the larger organization
Represent Pfiedler to clients, business partners and the healthcare community; act as ambassador and spokesperson for Pfiedler
Hire, retain and develop a talented and engaged staff; provide for optimum utilization of staff talent
Drawing on AORN policies and resources, see to the development and maintenance of staff standards of performance
Must Have’s to be our President
MBA or MHA degree
Previous experience developing, implementing or marketing health care education
At least 5 years’ sale experience with progressive responsibility working for an organization in the health care industry, preferably with medical devices
At least 5 years’ executive leadership experience in health care organizations overseeing $3M-$10M in revenues
Experience presenting to C-suite
Experience developing and executing strategic plans with the ability to create, articulate and execute a strategic vision; a consensus builder
Analytical, data-driven, goal-oriented and decisive; ability to develop financial models
Outstanding presentation and interpersonal skills; naturally persuasive with a strong executive presence
RN or evidence of strong clinical background, preferred
Credibility within the health care community and a strong network of contacts, preferred
