Lehigh Valley Health Network is actively seeking an Administrator of Oncology Services to join Lehigh Valley Cancer Institute. Preferred qualifications include extensive experience in patient care services with a Masters in Nursing and Oncology Certified Nursing credential as well as department level or greater leadership responsibilities.
The Administrator of Oncology Services, will report to the Senior Vice President of Lehigh Valley Cancer Institute and will collaborate closely with his dyad partner the Physician-in-Chief. You’ll have oversight of assigned departments and programs including Infusion, Cancer Support and Genetics and will be responsible for these departments within all Lehigh Valley Cancer Institute entities.
Lehigh Valley Cancer Institute serves eastern Pennsylvania while seeing more than 4,000 new analytic cases per year. We are a member of the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Alliance, a transformative initiative to improve the quality of care and outcomes for people with cancer in community health care settings; in addition to providing our patients access to MSK clinical trials.

Job Summary: Oversight and management of assigned departments/programs within the Cancer Institute. Responsible for all assigned departments and programs with all Cancer Institute network entities, Health Centers, Acute Care Hospital and Physician Offices. The Administrator in coordination with members of Cancer Institute Leadership Council (CILC) and the Outpatient Directors/Management Team Group are responsible for the safe, efficient, cost effective, value based care and professional management of all assigned oncology departments/programs to insure optimal patient care.
Minimum Requirements: Bachelors degree and enrolled actively seeking MS or specialized degree related to areas of oversight.
Knowledge of daily procedures and operations of the designated areas of responsibility. Five years management experience in Oncology Services.
Interpersonal skills necessary to interact effectively with physicians, hospital department leaders C-Suite executives, partner organizations and patients in potentially high stress situations.
Preferred Qualifications: Masters degree in healthcare related field and/or 10+ years of related experience.
Extensive knowledge of Oncology and emerging treatment methods work processes, systems function and the equipment platforms that deliver them.
Significant experience managing direct reports at multiple sites in oncology patient care and related operations. System level healthcare experience in administrative process.
Licensure and Certifications: Current Pennsylvania licensure/certification in field of expertise.
Master's degree in relevant field required or working towards it; if professional nurse direct supervision.
Master's degree in a Health Care Related Profession or Business degree. Minimum of (5) five years of management experience. Must have experience with marketing patient satisfaction for a service line.
