Director of Clinical Services
Careforce
The Director of Clinical Services (DCS) at Careforce is a critical role, primarily focused on driving innovation and collaboration from a leadership position. The role of leadership at Careforce is to enable direct reports to have a clear understanding of their roles and goals. This includes defining said roles and goals, leading a regular and routine feedback cycle (1v1s, monthly, quarterly meetings), and empowering teammates to be better at what they do. The core tenets of the DCS role are the management of the quality, compliance, and delivery of care at Careforce. The DCS is the direct supervisor of the Care Coordination, Medicaid Care Managers, and Private Care Manager positions – as well as being ultimately responsible for the level of care delivered by our Community Clinician Group (home care/home health aides, home health nurses). The DCS should be someone who is technology and data oriented, with the ability to review existing processes and tools, and iterate on them regularly. This role should be a leader who has experience implementing new technologies and processes in prior roles. There is a large compliance component to the DCS role. Careforce is audited biannually by the Department of Health, and annually by all DSHS agencies with whom we hold contracts. It is the DCS’s responsibility to ensure we have the correct processes in place, and that the care team is following these processes to ensure that we are always in compliance with the above listed, and any other future clinical governance entities with whom we might contract. This includes regular QA with the Care Team. The DCS is responsible for organizing and leading our Customer Quality Initiative, which includes implementing customer satisfaction processes and systems. The ultimate goal at Careforce is to provide the utmost quality of care to our clients and community, and the DCS at Careforce should see themselves as the steward to this principle. Lastly, it is critical that the new DCS understand that Home Care is a growing industry, with shifting challenges, and Careforce must find ways to continue to innovate on its delivery of care model. The enthusiasm, attitude, and attention to detail from the Care Team’s leader must be outstanding. Careforce is looking to add core team members who are excited about joining a growing company, with an opportunity to expand their roles as the company grows. The DCS must be an enthusiastic partner for Operations, HR, Finance, Sales & Marketing – Careforce is seeking a leader who has a passion for patient care, teaching clinicians, and for organizational growth and process.
