Purpose of Position  The Director of Nursing for Surgery is responsible for providing support to Nursing Department in formatting and development of a Patient Centered Care delivery system that is clinically and financially productive and responsive to health care knowledge and reform. The Administrator role supports the daily operations of the department by managing human resources processes, budget development and management, and coordination of interdepartmental activities that affect direct care delivery. The Administrator is knowledgeable of the Joint Commission and other regulatory standards. As a member of Bellevue's Management Team, s/he displays the behavioral characteristics articulated for this role, engenders confidence and trust
