Job Summary The Nurse Manager (NM) functions as the first-line administrative nursing leader, with 24-hour accountability for care delivery including budget of a nursing unit(s). The Nurse Manager must be able to navigate proficiently within the EHR. He/She must be able to clinically assist with patient care and be able to function in the charge role if indicated. The Nurse Manager coordinates, elevates and resolves problems and conflicts as they occur. With support from Charge Nurses and Educators, the Nurse Manager directly supervises the clinical nursing and ancillary nursing personnel assigned to a unit or care delivery site.
